영문 초록

Over a decade, interregional network has been one of the key topics in both academic and practical arenas. In the similar contexts, Korea government has actively adopted the paradigm based on the interregional competition and cooperation. Reflecting the ever-increasing social needs for the interregional network, this study analyzes dynamic network of 33 cities, counties, and districts within Chungcheong Jurisdiction between 2000 and 2005. The results imply that the size of the internal network within Chungcheong Jurisdiction becomes bigger, strengthening and the interconnectedness during the research period. The major changes overly originate from a handful of big cities. In contrast, the network disparity between the central and peripheral cities is getting increasingly worse over the time. Comparing the interprovincial connectedness, the internal network within a province becomes strengthened in the first half of 2000s. In terms of centrality, Youseong and Seo Districts within Daejeon Metropolitan Government function as main hubs of Chungcheong Jurisdiction. In addition, there has been no change in in-degree and out-degree ordering among the 9 regions holding a higher ranking. These research findings would contribute to systematic accumulation of urban information and strategic decision-making.
