유아교사의 문제행동지도효능감이 다문화 유아의 사회적 능력에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 유아교사의 문제행동지도효능감과 문제행동지도전략이 다문화 유아의 사회적 능력에 어떠한 과정을 통해 영향을 미치는지 살펴보고자 하였다. 어린이집 또는 유치원에 근무하는 교사 중 현재 다문화 유아를 지도하고 있으며 연구 참여에 동의한 담임교사 300명을 대상으로 2017년 11월과 12월에 조사한 본 연구의 결과를 종속변인인 다문화 유아의 사회적 능력을 중심으로 살펴보면, 다문화 유아의 사회적 능력은 유아교사의 문제행동지도효능감 및 문제행동지도전략과 유의한 정적인 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 구조방정식 분석결과, 유아교사의 문제행동지도효능감은 문제행동지도전략에 정적인 영향을 미치며 문제행동지도전략은 다문화 유아의 사회적 능력에 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나, 유아교사의 문제행동지도효능감이 다문화 유아의 사회적 능력에 영향을 미치는 과정에 문제행동지도전략이 매개적 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 문제행동지도전략의 하위영역인 사회정서전략은 사회적 능력의 하위영역인 사회적 규범 이해에 정적인 영향력이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 본 연구의 결과는 세 변인 간 관계에 대한 이해를 돕고 더 나아가 다문화 유아의 사회적 능력 신장 방안 마련을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 것이다.

영문 초록

This study investigated the relation between infant teacher efficacy of problem behavior guidance, strategy for guiding problem behavior, and multicultural infant social competence, focusing on mediating effects of strategy for guiding problrm behavior. The participants were 300 infant room teachers who teach multicultural infant in Korea. The results showed that multicultural infant social competence was significantly positively correlated to infant teacher efficacy of problem behavior guidance and strategy for guiding problem behavior. The results of structural analysis were that teacher efficacy of problem behavior guidance was significantly positive related to strategy for guiding problem behavior and infant teacher’s strategy for guiding problem behavior was significantly positive related to multicultural infant social competence. Also, infant teacher’s strategy for guiding problem behavior had mediating effect on the relation between infant teacher efficacy of problem behavior guidance and multicultural infant social competence. Also, strategy for social and emotional skill was significantly positively correlated to comprehension of social norm. These results can be used to understand the relation between teacher efficacy of problem behavior guidance, strategy for guiding problem behavior, and multicultural infant social competence. In addition, these results can be used to develop multicultural infant social competence intervention programs in Korea.
