국문 초록

본 연구는 그림책을 활용해 유아와 함께 만들어가는 문식성 활동을 실천하고, 그 경험을 탐색한 질적 연구이다. 본 연구의 참여자는 연구자와 만 4, 5세 혼합연령 P반 방과후 과정 유아 12명이다. 2019년 8월 5일부터 2019년 11월 22일까지, 16주 동안 연구를 실행하였다. 연구기간동안 연구자는 참여 관찰을 하였고, 동영상 녹화, 사진, 성찰일지, 관찰 일지 등을 통해 자료를 수집하고 분석하였다. 연구 결과는 유아중심 문식성 활동의 계획 과정을 담은 ‘변화가 시작되다’와 계획 후 실천과정을 분석한 ‘함께 실천하다’로 나누어 기술하였다. 첫째, ‘변화가 시작되다’에서는 교사가 유아중심 문식성 교육의 필요성을 느끼고 유아와 함께 문식성 활동을 계획하는 과정에 대해 분석하였다. 둘째, ‘함께 실천하다’에서는 유아와 함께 문식성 활동을 실천하는 과정에 대해 분석하였다. 통합적으로 이루어진 문식성 활동을 통해, 유아는 읽기와 쓰기를 즐기게 되었고 자연스럽게 읽고 쓰는 능력이 향상되었다.

영문 초록

This study is to explore the experiences in practicing child-centered literacy activities using picture books. Twelve children aged 4-5 years old in a mixed-age classroom and a teacher as a researcher were participated in this study. The period of study was a total of 16 weeks from August 5 to November 22, 2019. During the study, a variety of data including video and voice recording, photographs, transcribed records, observed records and researcher reflexive journals were collected and analyzed. The results of this study were divided into two categories. The first part, “The change begins” was about the planning process of child-centered literacy activities. The second category, “Practice together” was dealing with the practicing process of child-centered literacy activities. The participants of this study enjoyed reading and writing activities. Also their language abilities were enhanced while experiencing integrated literacy activities.
