의과대학 신입생들의 진로정체성에 영향을 미치는 정서 행동 특성

국문 초록

본 연구는 의과대학 신입생의 진로지도를 위한 기초자료로서 진로정체성 현황과 진로정체성에 영향을 미치는 정서 행동 특성들을 확인하는데 그 목적이 있다. 2018~2019학년도 2년간 의과대학에 진학한 신입생 119명을 연구대상으로 하였으며, 남학생은 82명, 여학생은 37명이었다. 5개 문항의 진로정체성 척도와 94개 문항의 K-BASC2 검사 중 정서행동특성을 측정하였으며, 신뢰도는 .884~.918이었다. 연구결과 신입생의 83%가 뚜렷한 진로목표를 가졌음에도 불구하고, 60% 이상이 직업에 대한 흥미 변화를 염려하거나 직업선택에 대한 혼란과 직업선택에 두려움을 갖고 있었다. 정서 행동 수준에 따라 진로정체성에 차이가 있는지 살펴본 결과, 내면화 문제행동이 낮은 집단과 개인적 적응이 높은 집단에서 진로정체성이 더 높았다. 내면화 문제행동 중 사회적 스트레스, 우울, 부적절감이 낮은 집단이 진로정체성이 더 높았고 개인적 적응 중 대인관계, 자아신뢰감이 높은 집단이 진로정체성이 더 높았다. 진로정체성에 영향을 미치는 정서 행동 특성은 대인관계와 불안이었으며, 진로정체성 변량의 약 17%를 설명하고 있었다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 원활한 대인관계 형성과 불안 수준을 안정화 할 수 있는 진로지도 프로그램의 필요성을 제안하는 바이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the level of career identity and the emotional behavior factors of the medical students on 1st year. A total of 119 freshmen from K University College of Medicine in 2018 and 2019 had participated in a survey. A 5-items Career Identity Scale and 94-items K-BASC2 were administered to evaluate students’ emotional behavior factors. As a result, 60% of freshmen were concerned about changing interests in their jobs, or were confused and afraid of job selection. As a result of examining whether there was a difference in career identity according to the level of emotional behavior, the group with low social stress, depression, and inappropriate feelings had higher career identity, and the group with high interpersonal relationships and self-reliance had higher career identity. The emotional behavioral factors affecting career identity were interpersonal relationships and anxiety, which had an explanatory power of about 17%. Based on this study, the necessity of a career guidance program that promotes healthy interpersonal relationships and alleviates anxiety was proposed.
