Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are vulnerable to security threats due to resource limitation, harsh environment, and their unattended nature. The adversary can inject false report and false vote attacks through the compromised nodes. Probabilistic Voting-based Filtering Scheme (PVFS) is proposed to prevent these attacks. The verification node filters out attacks based on threshold (i.e. number of votes). One of the main limitations of PVFS is that it does not redistribute the keys after one or more nodes are compromised. In this paper, we propose key re-distribution scheme based on fuzzy logic system. The membership functions of fuzzy logic system are; remaining energy, the number of hops and the numbers of false event. The number of authentication keys is redistributed based on the network conditions (i.e., fuzzy membership functions) in WSNs. Experimental results validate our approach by 17%.
