유치원 교사들의 원격수업 경험에서의 의미 구성

국문 초록

본 연구는 2020년 코로나 19 팬데믹 상황에서 원격수업을 운영한 유치원 교사가 구성한 원격수업의 의미를 탐색하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 경기도 지역의 공립유치원에서 원격수업을 실천한 교사 6인을 대상으로 2020년 10월부터 2개월 간 면담을 실시하고, 교사들이 구성한 의미를 유목화 하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 본 연구에 참여한 유치원 교사들은 원격수업을 운영하는 과정에서 미래를 향해 교육 패러다임이 변화하고 있음에 직면하고 원격수업은 미래교육을 향해 반드시 필요한 첫걸음이었다는 의미를 구성하였다. 둘째, 원격수업을 통해 다양한 관계 맺기를 시도하던 교사들은 시공간을 초월한 만남을 하나의 문화로 누리며 소통하는 유아의 모습을 마주하게 되었고, 미래교육의 본질은 기술이 아닌 소통에 있다는 의미를 구성하였다. 셋째, 교사들은 원격수업은 미래교육으로 한 발 더 나아가기 위한 새로운 도전이라는 의미를 구성하고 시공간을 넘나들며 유아ㆍ놀이 중심 교육과정의 실천을 꾀하였으며, 이를 시작으로 미래교육을 향한 새로운 방향을 모색하며 기반을 다져가고자 하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 통해 유치원에서의 원격수업에 대한 새로운 가능성과 의미에 대해 시사점을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to explore the meaning of experience in distance class of kindergarten teachers who practiced distance class during COVID-19 Pandemic situation. To this end, six teachers who practiced distance class at public kindergartens in Gyeonggi Province were interviewed for two months from October 2020, and the meaning created by teachers was categorized. The results of the study were as follows. First, kindergarten teachers who participated in this study faced a change in the educational paradigm toward the future in the process of operating distance class and constructed the meaning that distance class was essential first steps toward future education. Second, teachers who tried to establish various relationships through distance class faced the image of young children who communicated with each other by enjoying a culture that transcended time and space, and constructed the meaning that the essence of future education lies in communication, not technology. Third, teachers formed the meaning of a new challenge for distance class to move further toward future education and tried to implement childㆍplay-oriented curriculum across time and space, seeking a new direction for future education and building a foundation. Implications for new possibilities and meanings for distance class in kindergarten were discussed.
