메이커 활동 청소년과 일반 청소년의 창의성 및 정서지능 비교

국문 초록

본 연구는 메이커 활동 여부에 따라 중·고등학생의 창의적 특성과 정서지능에 차이가 나타나는지를 알아보기 위해 시행되었다. 2019년 1월~5월 중에 자료수집이 이루어졌으며, 서울 및 경기 지역의 중·고등학생 128명과 서울, 경기, 인천 지역의 메이커 중·고등학생 127명의 자료를 사용하였다. 사용된 척도는 창의적 인성 척도와 정서지능 척도이다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 22.0 프로그램을 사용하여 기술통계, 독립 t 검정을 실시하여 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 메이커 활동 여부에 따라 청소년의 창의적 특성 수준에 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났 다. 둘째, 청소년의 정서지능 역시 메이커 활동 여부에 따라 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 메이커 교육은 청소년들의 창의적 특성과 정서지능에 긍정적 영향을 미친다는 것을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 4차 산업혁명 시대의 핵심역량인 창의성과 정서지능 역량 개발을 위해 메이커 운동 및 교육이 활용될 수 있음을 제시하였다는 것에 의의를 가진다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate whether there are differences in creative traits and emotional intelligence according to makers activity. In this study, 127 middle and high school maker adolescents from Seoul, Gyeonggi Province and Incheon and 128 middle and high school students from Seoul and Gyeonggi Province participated, and creative personality scales and emotional intelligence measures were used. The collected data were analyzed by using the SPSS 22.0 program to conduct technical statistics and independent t-test. The results are as follows: First, In terms of creative traits, the difference between makers’ activity was found. Second, the emotional intelligence of maker adolescents was higher than that of average adolescents. This study is meaningful that maker movement and education can be used to develop creativity and emotional intelligence capabilities, which are key capabilities in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
