교직 경력에 따른 COVID-19 상황에서의 초등학교 현장 교육에 대한 인식 조사

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 전세계적으로 겪고 있는 COVID-19 상황에서 우리나라 학교교육이 어떻게 이루어지고 있는지 조사하는 것이었다. 특히 이번 연구에서는 교직 경력에 따른 COVID-19 상황에서의 학교교육에 대한 인식을 조사하여 비교해보았다. 연구를 위해 연구참여자는 우리나라 전역에 걸쳐 무선표집되었다. 연구참여자는 초등학교에 근무하는 총650명의 교사였다. 연구를 위한 자료수집은 2020. 07. 29 ~ 2020. 08. 05의 총 8일 동안 온라인으로 실시하였다. 교사들은 경력에 따라 3 집단으로 분류된 후 연구결과는 분석되었다. 연구결과, 첫째, 교사들과 학생들은 COVID-19 상황에서 실시된 온라인수업에 대해 잘 적응하고 있었다. 둘째, 교사들은 온라인수업이라는 교육 정책에 대해 경력이 많을수록 만족도가 높았다. 셋째, 교사들은 온라인수업에 대해 부담을 느끼고 있었다. 하지만, 자신이 운영한 온라인수업에 대해 만족하고 있었다. 또 온라인수업에 대한 만족도는 경력이 많은 교사일수록 높았다. 넷째, 대부분의 교사들은 온라인수업에 대한 정부 또는 교육청의 지원에 대해 아쉬움을 느끼고 있었다. 다섯째, 교사들은 학생들의 학업성취와 관련해 걱정을 하고 있었으며, 온라인수업이 학업성취에는 그다지 도움이 되지 않는다고 생각하고 있었다. 이러한 결과는 지금도 지속되고 있는 COVID-19 상황에서의 학교교육의 방향과 앞으로도 일어날 수 있는 위기 상황에서의 학교교육에 중요한 시사점을 제공해줄 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate how Korean school education is being carried out in the context of COVID-19 that is experiencing worldwide. And more than anything, in this study, it was surveyed how they perceived elementary school field education in the context of COVID-19 based on the teaching career. For the study, study participants were sampled wirelessly throughout Korea. The study participants were a total of 650 teachers working in elementary schools. Teachers were classified into 3 groups according to their careers, and the research results were analyzed. Data collection for the study was conducted online for a total of 8 days from July 29, 2020 to August 05, 2020. As a result of the study, first, teachers and students were well adapted to the online classes held in the COVID-19 situation. Second, teachers were more satisfied with the education policy of online classes as they had more experience. Third, teachers were feeling a burden about online classes. However, he was satisfied with the online class he ran. Also, the satisfaction with online classes was higher for teachers with more experience. Fourth, most teachers felt regret about the support of the government or the Office of Education for online classes. Fifth, teachers were worried about students academic achievement, and they thought that online classes were not very helpful for academic achievement. These results could provide important implications for the direction of school education in the ongoing COVID-19 situation and for school education in a crisis situation that may arise in the future.
