유아·놀이중심 유아음악교육에 대한 유아교사의 인식과 실행

국문 초록

본 연구는 유아·놀이중심 유아음악교육에 대한 유아교사의 인식과 실행에 대해 살펴봄으로써 2019 개정 누리과정을 반영한 유아음악교육의 실행력을 높일 수 있는 방안을 모색하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 2020년 7∼8월 국공립·사립 유치원에 재직 중인 담임교사 10명과의 심층면담을 통해 자료를 수집하고 분석하였다. 연구결과 유아·놀이중심 유아음악교육에 대해 ‘유아·놀이중심으로 나아가야 하는 유아음악교육’, ‘모호함’, ‘놀이로 접근하기 어려움’, ‘교사의 음악적 소양에 따라 운영의 질이 달라짐’, ‘우선 환경을 갖추어야 실행이 가능함’으로 인식하고 있었다. 다음으로, 유아·놀이중심 유아음악교육의 실행에 대해 유아교사들은 ‘놀이보다는 활동을 중심으로 유아중심 음악교육 시작하기’, ‘음악에 있어 새로움 추구하기’, ‘환경 갖추어가기’, ‘일상에서 음악 즐기기’, ‘음악을 중심으로 누리과정 5개 영역 통합하기’라고 밝혔다. 이러한 결과를 통해 본 연구는 개정 누리과정의 안정적 안착 및 교육현장 지원 방안을 모색하기 위한 기초자료를 제공할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

This study examines early childhood teachers’ awareness and practice regarding child and play-centered early childhood music education to enhance their performance to reflect the 2019 revised Nuri Curriculum. Data were collected and analyzed through in-depth interviews with ten homeroom teachers working in public and private kindergartens. The results showed perceptions of child and play-centered early childhood music education such as “early childhood music education should be centered around children and play,” “it is ambiguous,” “it is difficult to approach it as play,” “the quality of education varies according to the teachers’ musical literacy,” and “an adequate environment is first needed to implement the program.” Furthermore, regarding the implementation of child and play-centered early childhood music education, the teachers made the following suggestions: “start music education with a focus on activity rather than play,” “pursue novelty in music,” “prepare the right environment,” “enjoy music in everyday life,” and “integrate five areas of the Nuri Curriculum around music.” This study provides basic data for the smooth transition of the Nuri Curriculum and appropriate support measures for schools.
