국문 초록

본 연구는 2015 개정 교육과정에 따른 초등 국어 교과서가 다문화 내용 요소를 잘 반영하고 있는지를 분석하여 다문화 교육을 위한 바람직한 국어 교과서로의 방향을 모색하고자 하였다. 이에 국어 교과서 다문화 내용으로 상호 문화 이해, 협력적 상호작용, 반편견, 평등성, 정체성, 다양성을 선정하고 초등 교과서에 제시된 제재, 삽화(사진)의 다문화 내용을 분석하였다. 그 결과로 첫째, 하나의 제재 혹은 삽화(사진)에 하나의 다문화 내용이 나타나는 것이 아니라 다수의 다문화 내용이 함께 나타나고 있었다. 둘째, 학년별 편중 현상이 나타났다. 셋째, 제재와 삽화(사진)는 각각 주로 다루는 다문화 내용이 달랐다. 넷째, 제재와 삽화(사진) 모두 특정 학년에서 특정 다문화 내용이 나타나지 않은 경우가 있었다. 다문화 교육을 위한 바람직한 국어 교과서 구현을 위해 첫째, 평등성, 다양성과 같이 현재 양적으로 부족한 다문화 내용을 더욱 적극적으로 담을 필요가 있다. 둘째, 국어 교과서의 제재와 삽화에서 다루는 다문화 내용이 학년에 따라 위계적으로 제시될 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

This study sought to find the direction of desirable Korean language textbooks for multicultural education by analyzing whether elementary Korean textbooks under the 2015 revised curriculum reflect elements of multicultural content. Thus, the multicultural contents of Korean textbooks were selected for mutual cultural understanding, cooperative interaction, anti-biased, equality, identity and diversity, and the multicultural contents of materials and illustrations presented in textbooks for first to sixth graders were analyzed. As a result, first, more than two multicultural contents appeared on one materials or illustration, not just one. Second, there was a bias phenomenon by grade. Third, the materials and illustrations were different in terms of multiculturalism, which were mainly dealt with. Fourth, both materials and illustrations(photo) did not show specific multicultural content in a particular grade. In order to realize desirable Korean language textbooks for multicultural education, it is necessary to more actively include multicultural content that is currently lacking in quantity, such as equality and diversity. Second, the multicultural content covered in sanctions and illustrations in Korean language textbooks also needs to be presented hierarchically according to grade.
