이노비즈(INNOBIZ) 기업 인증이 경영성과에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 2001년 도입된 이노비즈 인증제도의 정책적 효과성을 실증적으로 분석하고자 한다. 이노비즈 기업으로 인증되면 정부로부터 전폭적인 지원을 받을 수 있기 때문에, 다른 기업에 비해 경영상의 많은 혜택이 있을 것이다. 2001년부터 2007년까지 코스닥 시장에 등록된 이노비즈 기업을 대상으로, 이노비즈 인증 2년 전부터 인증 2년 후까지의 기간 동안 수익성, 성장성, 활동성, 안정성 측면에서 다른 기업에 비해 좋은 성과를 냈는지를 검증한다. 또한 이노비즈 기업이면서 벤처기업인 경우가 이노비즈 기업이면서 일반기업인 경우보다 더 좋은 성과를 냈는지도 검증한다. 수익성, 성장성, 활동성, 안정성으로 측정한 경영성과를 종속변수로, 이노비즈 인증더미를 독립변수로 하는 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 이노비즈 인증 전보다 인증 후에 수익성, 성장성, 활동성, 안정성으로 측정한 경영성과가 높을 것으로 예상했으나, 안정성을 나타내는 부채비율만이 낮아진 것으로 나타났다. 또한 이노비즈 기업 인증 후에, 이노비즈 기업이면서 일반기업인 경우보다 이노비즈 기업이면서 벤처기업인 경우의 경영성과가 높을 것이라는 가설은, 수익성을 나타내는 총자산이익률과 자기자본이익률만이 유의한 결과를 나타냈다.

영문 초록

The Small & Medium Business Administration has introduces the inno-biz certificate system since 2001. The certificate system was designed to accelerate upcoming driving force of small and medium size firms by supporting technical developments. However, the effectiveness of the government s new policy is being questioned. Therefore, we investigate the empirical effectiveness of the certificate system. If a firm acquire the inno-biz certificate, the various government supports will be beneficial to the firm. The government support may lead better managerial performance of the firms with certificate. We investigate the comparative managerial performance indexes(profitability, growth, turnover and stability) of the firms before and after the acquisition of the certificate. We also analyze the performance gap between the inno-biz firms with and without the venture certificate. We expected that the business performance indexes(profitability, growth, turnover and stability) of the inno-biz firms would be higher after the acquisition of the certificate. But we find that only the stability(debt ratio) index of the inno-biz firms actually show better result after the acquisition. We also formed an hypothesis that the inno-bis firms with venture certificate would show better performance indexes compared to the inno-biz firms without venture certificate. But we find statistically significant results only for the profitability index.(return on total assets and return on equity).
