국문 초록

이 논문의 목적은 학술적글쓰기의 질적 개선을 위한 자기글 읽기에 방안을 제안하는 데 있다. 보다 구체화하면 글쓰기에 관여하는 상위인지조정 전략들 중에는 보다 중요한 위계의 전략이 있으며 이를 집중 활용함으로써 사고의 질적 수준을 높이는 방안을 제안하려는 것이다. 상위인지조정 전략들 중 높은 위계에 놓인 것을 발견하기 위하여 담당 교수의 수업 목적과 수업 유형, 과제 목적을 텍스트 자료 및 인터뷰 분석을 수행하였다. 그 결과 ‘주제의 깊이, 넓이’, ‘구조의 체계성’에 관여하는 전략의 중요성을 발견하였다. 또 대학 수업에서 생산된 실제 학생글을 대상으로 높은 위계의 상위인지조정 전략이 어떤 방식의 질적 개선을 이끌 수 있는지를 구체화하였다. 이 논의가 기존 논의와 차별되는 지점은 두 가지다. 첫째, 글쓰기 생산에 관여하는 상위인지 전략들 사이의 위계가 존재하며 학습자들이 상위 위계에 놓인 전략을 적극적으로 활용할 수 있어야 전공 문식성을 확보할 수 있음을 현장의 자료로 이끌어 냈다는 점이다. 둘째는 수정의 목적이 대상 글 자체의 완성도를 높이는 것이 아니라 보다 훌륭한 글을 생산할 수 있는 사고 전략을 익히는 데 있다는 말의 의미를 구체화하였다는 점이다. 글을 생산하고 토론하고 수정하는 과정 내내 지속되는 ‘자기글 읽기’를 통해 높은 위계의 상위인지조정 전략을 내재화하는 과정이 전공 문식성의 수준을 높이는 과정인 것이다.

영문 초록

In this paper a proposal for “self-reading” to improve the quality of academic writing is suggested. There are more important hierarchical strategies involved in strategies for meta-cognitive regulation, and a plan to improve the quality level of the academic thinking by utilizing them intensively is proposed. In order to discover the upper level strategies in strategies for meta- cognitive regulation, we analyzed the purpose of the teaching professor, the type of the class, and the purpose of the subject in the text data and the interview. We found the importance of the strategy involved in “the depth and breadth of the theme” and “the systematic nature of the structure.” In addition, we observed the actual student sentences produced in the university class. There is a hierarchy strategies for meta-cognitive regulation involved in writing process, and it is necessary for the learners to actively use the strategies placed in the upper level, and to be able to secure the major literacy. Second, the purpose of the revision is to embody the meaning of acquire an meta-cognitive regulation that can generate better works. The process of internalizing the strategies for meta-cognitive through “self reading” is the process of improve the quality level of the major literacy.
