국문 초록

본 연구는 처첩가족이라는 가족구조에서 출생한 한 남성 상담자가 경험한 부성부재와 모성결핍의 문제가 무엇인지, 문제의 양상은 어떠한지, 그 해결과정은 어떠한지를 밝히는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구를 위해 협력적 자문화기술지라는 질적연구방법을 통해 이야기하고 있으며, 이 과정에서 공동연구자와 함께 회상자료, 집중적 단기정신역동치료를 기반한 교육분석, 일기자료, 인터뷰 전사본, 문헌자료, 내담자와의 상담자료 등의 다양한 자료를 순환적으로 수집하고 분석하였다. 연구결과로 첫째, 끊임없이 반복되는 ‘정체감’ 문제, 둘째, ‘모성결핍’과 모성을 채우는 반복행동들, 셋째, ‘부성의 부재’와 부성을 대체 혹은 갈구 행동들, 넷째, 친구 권위자 내담자 등 관계에서 반복되는 문제들, 다섯째, 치유와 화해의 과정이 범주화되었다. 논의에서는 본 연구를 통해서 얻어진 경험적 결실들을 각 주제별로 정리하였으며, 또한 이러한 문제를 사회문화적 맥락 안에서 다루어 보았다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 제한점도 언급하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to clarify these questions : what are the problems of paternal absence and maternal deprivation, what are the pattern of those problems, and what are the resolution processes, as experienced by a male counselor born in ‘a family with concubines’ Through a qualitative research method called a collaborative autoethnography, the narrative data together with a joint researcher and educational analyst, personal memory, transcript from an intensive short-term psychodynamic therapy, diary interview transcription, literature data, and data from counseling with clients were collected and analyzed cyclically. As a result of the study the following themes were identified; first, the constantly repeated ‘identity’ issues, second, ‘maternal deprivation’ and repetitive behaviors to fill the gap of maternity, third, ‘absence of paternity’ and behaviors to replace or crave for paternity, fourth, problems recurring in the relationships with friends, authorities, and clients, etc. and fifth, the process of healing and reconciliation. In the socio-cultural context, the experiential implications and limitations of this study were discussed.
