국문 초록

2017년 트럼프대통령이 취임한 이후 트럼프노믹스라 일컫는 보호무역주의와 미국우선주의 경제정책을 시행하면서 미-중 무역분쟁이 심화되었고, 더욱이 2020년 들어 코로나19가 창궐하게 되면서 공급사슬이 마비되거나 붕괴되어, 생산공정의 지역적 분리와 가치사슬의 최적화를 통해 구성된 동아시아 무역네트워크는 변화의 기로에 놓이게 되었다. 이에 본 연구는 코로나19로 인해 변화한 무역환경에서 트럼프노믹스가 동아시아 무역네트워크에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지에 관해 문헌연구를 통해 분석하였다. 연구결과 미-중 무역분쟁으로 중국이 입지를 흔들고 있으며, 코로나19로 인한 충격은 공급사슬의 신뢰성과 안정성을 흔들고 있다. 이러한 환경의 변화에 따라 무역패러다임의 디지털화가 진행되고 있으며, 언택트와 개인단위의 국제분업이 진행되면서 무역네트워크의 언번들링이 촉진되고 있다. 이에 한국정부와 기업은 이러한 트렌드에 맞추어 시의적절히 글로벌 가치사슬의 재구축에 대응해야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

Purpose : The study critically analyzes the impact of Trumpnomics on the East Asia trade network. By exploring future directions, the study provides a guidance for both government and multinational enterprises to make appropriate decisions to cope with global trade uncertainty. Research design, data, methodology : The study employs in-depth literature reviews in the areas of Trumpnomics and East Asia trade network and its relationships. Results : The global value chain mainly due to changes in trade rules and focus, is required to improve both the quality and flexibility of physical distribution. Considering the importance of the trade network and role of the supply chain, reshoring, enhancing the internal supply chain network to mitigate potential risks, unbundling and digitalization are key paradigms for the safety and reliability of the supply chain. Conclusions : The literature reviews reveal that role of China as a world production-base is threatened, especially under the Covid 19 environment as well as the conflict between the USA and China, which drives the shifts in the global supply chain. To be sustainable as a highly trade-dependent country, the Korean government and organizations should respond proactively with appropriate policy and business strategies
