연계(융합)전공 졸업자의 연계(융합)전공에 대한 인식 및 만족도

국문 초록

본 연구는 연계전공 이수 졸업자의 연계전공에 대한 인식, 연계전공의 취업도움여부에 따른 집단 간 차이를 분석하여, 연계전공 이수자 지원 및 융합교육 내실화 방안을 마련하기 위한 기초자료를 제공하는 것에 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 서울 소재 D대학에 개설된 연계전공을 이수하고 졸업한 학생 538명을 대상으로 설문조사를 진행했으며 116(21.6%)명이 최종 분석에 사용되었다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연계전공 이수 졸업자들이 연계전공을 신청한 이유는 지식을 확장하기 위해서(25.2%), 취업에 도움이 될 것 같아서(19.7%), 커리큘럼을 보고 관심이 가서(18.3%), 본인의 전공에 만족하지 못해서(13.3%)였다. 둘째, 연계전공을 알게 된 경로는 학교에서 제공하는 홍보가 69.1%, 인적 홍보가 21.5%였다. 셋째, 연계전공 이수 시 어려움은 행정서비스의 부족(19.9%), 함께 공부할 동료의 부재(17.2%), 융합의 모호성(16.4%), 기대에 못 미치는 수업내용(13.3%)이었다. 넷째, 졸업생의 44.1%가 연계전공 관련분야에 종사하고 있고, 60.6%가 연계전공이 취업에 도움이 되었고 생각했다. 다섯째, 연계전공이 취업에 도움이 되었다고 생각하는 집단이 그렇지 않은 집단보다 연계전공 관련 분야에 종사하는 빈도, 취업 면접 시 연계전공 관련 질문을 받은 경험, 연계전공 담당 교수와의 상담 횟수가 통계적으로 유의하게 높았다. 또한 연계전공 수업에 대한 만족도도 통계적으로 유의하게 높았다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the perception of interdisciplinary majors among graduates of interdisciplinary majors to support learners who have completed interdisciplinary majors and to provide basic data to prepare substantiality plans of convergence education. For this study, there was a survey with 538 graduates, who completed the interdisciplinary major at D University in Seoul and questionnaires from 116 respondents(21.6%) were used for final analysis. The analysis results are as follows. First, the reasons for applying were ‘because I wanted to broaden my knowledge’ (25.2%), ‘help me get a job’ (19.7%), and ‘because I m not satisfied with my major (13.3%). Second, the graduates got to know about the interdisciplinary major through school promotion(69.1%) and through human promotion(21.5%). Third, the graduates responded they had difficulties in completing the interdisciplinary major because of a lack of administrative services(19.9%), an absence of colleagues to study together(17.2%), ambiguity of convergence(16.4%) and disappointing class contents(13.3%). Fourth, 44.1% of the graduates are engaged in the interdisciplinary major-related fields and 60.6% of them thought the interdisciplinary major helped them find a job. Fifth, the group of the graduates thinking that the interdisciplinary major was helpful in finding a job showed a statistically significant higher frequency of engagement in the interdisciplinary major-related fields, experience in being asked questions about the interdisciplinary major during job interviews and counseling with professors in the interdisciplinary major than the group with the opposite view. Also, there was a statistically significant high level of perceptions of satisfaction with the interdisciplinary major class.
