국문 초록

본 연구는 돌봄의 경험이 전혀 없는 한 여성에게 엄마가 되어가는 과정과 그 과정이 무엇을 의미하는지를 자문화기술지를 통해 보여주고자 하였다. 자문화기술지는 자신의 주관적 경험을 연구의 일부로 바라보고 지속적인 자기성찰을 반영하는 자서전적 기술방식이다. 연구결과, 처음에는 엄마의 자리를 회피하고자 하는 동기로는 우울감, 두려움을 지니고 있었고, 회피전략으로 공부가 있었다. 세 번째 아이 엄마가 되면서 이를 직면하여 엄마됨을 받아들이고, 감정적 공감과 함께 훈육을 하게 되고, 사회적 지지를 얻고자 노력이 드러났다. 또한, 아이와 서로 사랑하는 사이로 거듭나며, 그 과정에서 자신의 존재를 잃지 않으며 엄마가 되어 가는 과정이 나타났다. 이 연구는 한 여성의 엄마 됨의 과정을 이해하고 세 아이의 엄마로서의 삶을 받아들이는 과정을 보여주었다는 데에 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to show the process of becoming a mother to a woman and what that process means through her Autoethnography, unless she has any experience in caring. The Autoethnography is an autobiographical technique that views one s subjective experience as part of a study and reflects continuous self-reflection. As a result of the study, at first, the motivation to evade the mother s place was depression, fear, and study as an evasion strategy. As the third child became a mother, she faced it, accepted her being a mother, disciplined with emotional empathy, and tried to gain social support. In addition, the process of becoming a mother and reborn as a child, and losing their existence in the process appeared. It is significant that this study showed the process of understanding the process of becoming a mother of a woman and accepting her life as a mother of three children.
