Objective: We want to find out the impact of virtual reality-based rehabilitation that provided posture correction feedback on the recovery of upper extremities and the non-use of upper extremities on chronic stroke patients.
Method: It was mediated by dividing into a virtual reality-based rehabilitation training group, a virtual reality-based rehabilitation group, and a universal rehabilitation training group that provided posture correction feedback to 30 chronic stroke patients. Each group of patients was evaluated using the Fugl-Meyer Assessment Upper Extremity, Manual Function Test and the Motor Activity Log three times in a total of 0, 3 and 6 weeks.
Results: After six weeks of arbitration, all three groups of FMA-UE, MFT and MAL had significant differences(p<.05). In comparison, FMA-UE, MFT, and MAL were improved over the virtual reality-based rehabilitation training group, which provided postural correction feedback, and the universal rehabilitation group(p<.05).
Conclusion: Virtual reality - based rehabilitation training, which provides posture correction feedback, has an effect on the improvement of the upper limb function and the decrease of the non - use side action of the paralysis side in patients with chronic stroke.
