국문 초록

기초운동기술의 습득은 아이들의 독립적인 움직임 수행과 신체활동 참여 및 증진에 중요한 요소이다. 이러한 기초운동기술은 대부분 학교 체육을 통해 증진되기 마련이지만 기초운동기술 교육과 관련된 교사의 내용지식 부재로 인해 보다 효과적인 수업이 이루어지지 못하는 실정이다. 교사 내용지식 향상을 위해 다양한 방법들이 시도되고 있는 가운데 지식패킷(내용지식패킷)의 유용성에 대한 논의들이 활발히 진행되고 있다. 현재 체육 분야에서 단체종목(축구, 배구) 및 개인종목(배드민턴, 수영)을 위한 지식패킷은 개발되었지만 초등학생들의 기초운동기술을 가르치기 위한 지식패킷은 현재까지 널리 이용되지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 이 연구의 목적은 기초운동기술과 교사 내용지식에 관한 문헌을 검토하고 내용지식을 발전시키기 위한 지시패킷의 유용성을 탐구하는데 있다. 더 나아가 이 연구는 실험적 연구를 통해 기초운동기술을 가르치는데 있어서 지식패킷의 효과를 조사하고자 하는 후속연구의 대한 기초자료를 제공할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

Fundamental motor skills (FMS) are important skills that serve as a prerequisite to help children become independent movers in their surroundings. However, many physical educators do not effectively teach FMS because of the lack of content knowledge. There are a variety of ways to develop content knowledge for physical educators. A content knowledge packet including common and specialized content knowledge can be used as an effective tool to improve the teacher’s content knowledge. In the field of physical education, the knowledge packets for team and individual sports have been developed and used by physical educators. However, the knowledge packet for teaching FMS has not been used yet. Therefore, the purpose of this paper was to review literature on FMS and content knowledge and to address the importance of the knowledge packet to effectively teach FMS. Furthermore, this paper will contribute to future research examining the effect of the knowledge packet on teaching FMS for physical educators.
