국문 초록

본 연구는 학령초기 아동을 대상으로 가정환경, 교사-아동관계, 또래애착, 학업수행능력, 미디어중독 간 구조적 관계를 살펴보고 성별에 따라 차이가 있는지 살펴보고자 하였다. 분석자료는 한국아동패널 9차년도(2016년), 10차년도(2017년) 자료를 활용하였으며 총 1,520명(남아 780명, 여아 740명)을 대상으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교사-아동관계는 미디어중독에 부적 영향을, 또래애착과 학업수행능력에는 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또래애착과 학업수행능력은 미디어중독에 부적 영향을 미치는 직접효과를 보였다. 둘째, 교사-아동관계와 미디어중독 간의 관계에서 또래애착과 학업수행능력이 매개하는 간접효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 성별에 따른 다집단 경로계수 크기 차이 검증 결과, 교사-아동관계가 미디어중독에 미치는 경로에서 성별에 따른 차별적 특징이 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구는 학령초기 아동의 미디어중독 예방을 위해서는 학령초기 성별에 따른 개입이 필요하며 사회성 및 인지적 개입이 필요함을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the structural relationships among teacher-child relationships, peer attachment, academic accomplishment, and media addiction and to investigate how these relationships vary depend on gender. Data from 1,520 children who participated in the Panel Study of Korean children were used. The results were as follows. First, teacher-child relationships had positively effected on peer attachment and academic accomplishment while negatively on media addiction. Also, peer attachment and academic accomplishment affected negatively media addiction. Second, peer attachment and academic accomplishment mediated the links between teacher-child relationships and media addiction. Third, moderator analysis by gender reveled significantly different path only in the effects of teacher-child relationship on media addiction. These results imply the prevention of media addiction at early school age requires teacher intervention according to the gender. Furthermore, early social and cognitive intervention approaches for media addiction treatment may be helpful.
