국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 구조모형 분석을 통해 운동선수가 지각한 공감, 코치-선수관계, 그리고 운동선수 탈진의 관계를 분석하고, 공감과 운동선수 탈진에서 코치-선수관계의 매개효과를 확인하는 것이다. 이를 위해 중·고등학교 운동선수 380명의 선수로부터 인지된 공감, 코치-선수관계 그리고 운동선수 탈진에 대한 내용을 측정하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 22.0과 Amos 22.0 프로그램을 활용하여 빈도분석, 기술통계, 신뢰도 검증, 확인적 요인분석, 구조모형분석, 그리고 Bootstrap 방법을 활용하여 매개효과를 검증하였다. 분석결과 첫째, 인지된 공감은 코치-선수관계에 정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 코치-선수관계는 운동선수 탈진에 부적인 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 인지된 공감은 운동선수 탈진에 부적인 영향을 미쳤다. 마지막으로 인지된 공감과 운동선수 탈진의 관계에서 코치-선수관계는 부분매개효과가 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 스포츠 영역에서 운동선수 탈진을 줄이거나 예방하려는 실무자들에게 유용한 정보를 제공할 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

The purposes of this study was to investigate analyzing the relationship between empathy perceived by athletes, coach-athlete relationship, and athlete burnout through structural equation modeling analysis, and to confirm the mediating effect of coach-athlete relationship on empathy and athlete burnout. Participants (n=380) completed the battery of questionnaires to measure the perceived empathy, coach-athlete relationship, and athlete burnout. For the data analysis, SPSS 22.0 and Amos 22.0 were used for the descriptive statistics, cronbach s α, correlations analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and structural equation modeling. The results of the final model indicated that perceived empathy was significantly to coach-athlete relationship (β=.808, p<.001). coach-athlete relationship was negatively related to athlete burnout (β=-.337, p<.01). Perceived empathy was negatively related to athlete burnout (β=-.323, p<.01). Significant indirect effect were observed. The bootstrapping results indicated that the relationship between perceived empathy and athlete burnout was mediated by coach-athlete relationship. The findings of this study confirmed to the current understanding of the relationship between perceived empathy and athlete burnout and shed light on the important roles of the coach-athlete relationship.
