국문 초록

본 연구는 학습부진 학생을 위한 지원 정책의 효과를 분석하기 위해 학습부진 학생 지도 프로그램이 학생들의 학업성취에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 구체적으로 본 연구는 학습부진 학생을 위한 지도 여부에 따라 존재할 수 있는 학교 간 차이를 통제하여 보다 타당성 있는 결과를 도출하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 한국교육과정평가원에서 주관하는 국가수준 학업성취도 평가 자료의 동일 학생 연계자료를 바탕으로 2014년 중학교 3학년과 2016년 고등학교 2학년 시점의 자료를 2단계 대응·가중치 결합 방법과 2수준 다층모형을 활용하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 학습부진 학생들의 학업성취 향상 지원을 위한 학습부진 전담 강사 배치는 고등학생의 학업성취에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않고 있으며 이와는 달리 학습부진 학생의 정의적 특성 향상 지원을 위한 자기주도 학습능력 향상 프로그램 운영이 수학과 영어 교과의 학업성취에 정적인 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 정의적 특성인 높은 학업적 효능감, 교과에 대한 긍정적 태도가 고등학생의 학업성취도 향상에 중요한 요인임을 확인할 수 있었다. 마지막으로는 이와 같은 연구결과를 바탕으로 학생의 학업성취 향상과 학습부진 학생을 지원하기 위한 제도적 대책을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

In order to analyze the effect of the support policy for low-performing students, this study analyzed the effect of low-performing student instructional programs on the academic achievement. Specifically, two-stage matching/weighting combination method and two-level multilevel modeling was adapted to data collected by National Assessment of Educational Achievement (NAEA) from the 3rd grade of middle school in 2014 and the 2nd grade of high school in 2016. The results were as follows: the appointment of teacher-in-charge for low-performing students for improving academic achievement was not significant on the academic achievement of high school students. On the other hand, the operation of self-directed learning ability improvement program for low-performing students to support the improvement of the affective characteristics had a positive effect on the academic achievement of mathematic and english subjects. In addition, students‘ high academic efficacy and positive attitudes toward subjects were important factors in improving high school students academic achievement. Finally, based on the results of this study, the implications for suggestions for improving to improve the academic achievement of students were discussed.
