진로목표불일치가 대학생의 학업소진에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 대학생의 진로목표불일치와 학업소진의 관계에서 주도적 행동의 조절효과를 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위해 웹기반 설문조사기관을 통해 전국에 거주하고 있는 4년제 대학생 580명을 대상으로 진로목표불일치, 주도적 행동, 학업소진에 대한 설문을 실시하고 그 결과를 분석하였다. 그 결과, 첫째, 진로목표불일치는 학업소진에 정적으로, 주도적 행동은 학업소진과 부적으로 유의미한 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 진로목표불일치와 학업소진의 관계에서 주도적 행동 중 강점활용 행동의 조절효과가 확인되었다. 즉, 진로목표불일치가 높아질수록 학업소진이 높아지지만, 강점활용 행동 수준이 높은 집단은 낮은 집단에 비해 학업소진의 증가폭이 완만한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 진로목표불일치로 인해 학업소진을 경험하는 대학생들을 위하여 자신의 부족한 부분을 개선하기 위한 노력을 요구하기보다는 자신의 강점을 탐색하고, 그 강점을 활용 할 수 있도록 지원하는 것이 중요함을 시사한다.

영문 초록

This study aims to examine the moderating effect of proactive behavior in the relationship between career goal discrepancy and academic burnout among undergraduates. To this end, a survey on career goal discrepancy, proactive behavior, academic burnout was carried out with 580 four-year nationwide through a web-based survey institution. The findings were as follows. First, career goal discrepancy showed a significant positive correlation with academic burnout. The proactive behavior showed a negative correlation with academic burnout. Second, The moderating effect of strength use behavior was found in the relationship between career goal discrepancy and academic burnout,. Namely, while the higher career goal discrepancy, the higher academic burnout among college students, but the higher the level of strength use behavior, the slower the increase in academic burnout was. These results suggest that it is important to support their strength use behavior rather than requiring efforts to improve their deficit behavior for college students who experience academic burnout due to career goal discrepancy.
