학술적 글쓰기에서 대학원 유학생의 수준별 과제 표상 양상 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 대학원에 재학 중인 유학생이 학술적 글쓰기에서 어려움을 경험하는 원인이 잘못된 과제 표상에서 비롯된다고 전제한다. 그래서 과제 표상을 학술적 과제를 ‘해석’하는 것으로 정의하고, 구체적인 개념과 특징을 정리했다. 그리고 실제 ‘학술적 과제’라는 글쓰기 상황 맥락에 놓인 대학원 유학생을 대상으로 과제 표상 양상을 살폈다. 계획이 중심이 될 때와 수정이 중심이 될 때 과제 표상의 양상이 달라야 한다는 전제로 2회 과제 표상을 확인했고, 이 결과를 바탕으로 대학원 유학생을 위한 학술적 글쓰기에서 고려해야 하는 교육적 함의를 제안했다. 또한 총체적 평가를 기준으로 텍스트 수준별로 과제 표상 양상과 학술적 텍스트 유형을 확인하고, 학술적 과제에 부합하는 방향으로 과제 표상을 할수록 텍스트의 질이 높아짐을 확인했다. 본 연구는 이를 근거로 대학원 신입생이 주로 듣는 선수강의에서 학술적 글쓰기를 다룰 때 과제 표상 교육도 포함되어야 함을 밝혔다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted on the premise that the reason for foreign students enrolled in graduate schools to have difficulty in academic writing is derived from Task Representation. It, therefore, defined Task Representation as the interpretive process of Academic Task and arranged specific concepts and characteristics of it. It also examined the aspects of Tasks Representation for foreign graduate students placed in the writing context, Academic Task. Tasks Representation was verified two times, on the premise that it should be varied depending on whether it is Planning-centered or Rewiring-centered. From the findings, educational implications to be considered in academic writing for foreign graduate students were suggested. In addition, the aspects of Task Representation and the types of Academic Text were verified by the levels of texts, based on Holistic Evaluation, and it was also found that the quality of texts was enhanced, as Task Representation was adjusted to the direction of Academic Task. This study thus clarified that the education of Task Representation should contained in prerequisite subjects for Academic Writing, which new graduate students have to attend.
