가부장제에 대응하는 민주시민 교육의 과제

국문 초록

민주시민 교육의 중요성이 대두되면서 민주시민 교육의 정의, 범주, 내용, 방법 등의 논의가 활발하다. 본 연구는 교육과정 총론 상에서 민주시민 교육의 내용을 분석하며 특히 여성주의 교육의 영역을 구체적으로 살펴본다. 또한 2015 개정 교육과정에서 민주시민 교육으로서 여성주의 교육의 내용이 충분히 다루어지지 않음을 비판적으로 논의하며 가부장제에 대한 민주시민 교육의 과제를 논의 한다. 여성주의적 관점에서 민주시민을 논의하는 Gilligan의 가부장제 비판을 바탕으로 민주시민 교육에서 가부장제에 대한 비판적 성찰이 필요한 이유를 밝히고 시민권 논의의 중요성을 강조한다. 본 연구에서의 가부장제에 기반 한 시민권 의미의 재고를 통해, 민주시민 교육의 정의와 내용을 구체화 하여 체계적이고 심도 있는 민주시민 교육의 기틀을 마련할 것을 제안한다.

영문 초록

As the importance of citizenship education rises, discussions on the definition, category, content and method of citizenship education are active. This study analyzes the content of citizenship education in the general theory of the curriculum and specifically looks at the area of feminist education. It also discusses the tasks of citizenship education on patriarchy, criticizing that the content of feminist education as a citizenship education is not fully addressed in the 2015 revised curriculum. In particular, based on Gilligan s criticism of the patriarchy, which discusses democratic citizens from a feminist perspective, she reveals why critical reflection on the patriarchal system is necessary in the education of democratic citizens and stresses the importance of discussing citizenship. Through reconsideration of the meaning of citizenship based on the patriarchy in this study, it is proposed that the definition and content of citizenship education be embodied to lay the foundation for systematic and in-depth citizenship education.
