국문 초록

우리나라 학교 현장에서는 강의식 수업이 주를 이루고 있다. 강의식 수업에서 학생은 청취라는 의사소통 요소를 통해 교사로부터 전달되는 지식을 받아들이며 학습하게 된다. 이렇게 전달된 내용들은 학생들이 개념 학습을 통해 스스로의 인지구조 속에 개념을 형성하고 기억한다. 이에 이 연구에서는 언어 네트워크 분석법을 이용하여 청취유형에 따른 학습 후 학생들이 기억하는 개념의 네트워크를 분석하였다. 연구대상은 중학교 3학년 117명이었다. 유전 영역은 우열의 법칙과 분리의 법칙, 독립의 법칙 그리고 사람의 다양한 유전 형질의 3가지 학습 주제로 구분하였다. 청취유형은 관계적, 분석적, 과제 지향적, 비판적, 그리고 혼합형으로 분류하였다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학교 현장에서는 청취유형의 특성을 수업에 반영하지 못하고 있다. 둘째, 청취유형에 따라서 학생들이 기억하는 개념의 수와 구조에 차이를 보이고 있다. 셋째, 학생들은 상징적인 의미를 가진 개념들을 중심으로 기억하고 있다. 이를 통해 청취유형에 맞는 교수학습 전략에 대한 연구가 이루어지길 기대한다.

영문 초록

A lecture class is the main form of a course given at schools in Korea. In the lecture, students accept the content and learn the knowledge delivered from teachers via listening, a element of communication. In this way, the learning contents allow students to form concepts in their own cognitive structures and help them remember through concept learning. In this regard, the purpose of this study is to analyze the network of concepts that students remember after learning according to the listening style using semantic network analysis. The study subjects were 117 students in the third year of middle school. The genetics domain was divided into three learning topics: the law of dominance and the law of separation, the law of independence, and various hereditary characteristics of humans. The listening style was divided into five categories: relational, analytical, task-oriented, critical, and mixed listening styles. The findings of this study are as follows. First, the characteristics of the listening style are not reflected in the class. Second, there were differences in the number and structure of concepts that students remember according to the listening style. Third, student’s memory is predominantly based on concepts with symbolic meanings. Through this, it is expected that research on teaching and learning strategies appropriate to the listening style will be conducted.
