영문 초록

This study empirically analyzed the factors affecting the residential mobility plan of households in the non-capital area, and migration to the capital area through the five-year Korea Housing Survey by bivariate probit model with sample-selection. According to the results of this study, the significant characteristics of households that are planning to move to capital areas are as follows: Younger households, rental households in the non-capital area, households with school-aged children, households with a high income and housing wealth. These findings show that the residential mobility plan to the capital area from non- capital area can have influences with their children s education, and that young and higher-educated households are more likely to move to the capital area. Considering these characteristics, the housing and the urban policy of the capital area and the non- capital area should be applied differently.
