임상간호사의 감염성 폐기물에 대한 지식, 태도 및 실천과의 관련성

국문 초록

본 연구는 임상에서 근무하는 간호사의 감염성 폐기물에 대한 지식과 태도, 실천 간의 관련성을 파악하는 서술적 조사연구이다. 자료 수집은 G 광역시에 소재한 2개의 종합병원에서 근무하는 임상간호사 295명을 대상으로 2018년 11월 1일부터 2018년 12월 28일까지 실시하였다. 자료 분석은 SPSS 18.0 프로그램으로 t검정, 일원분산분석 그리고 pearson 상관계수분석을 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과는 지식과 태도 간의 상관관계는 r=.172, p=.003로, 지식과 실천 간의 상관관계는 r=.198, p=.001로 지식이 높다고 태도와 실천을 잘하는 것은 아닌 것으로 나타났다. 반면에 태도와 실천은 뚜렷한 정의 상관관계(r=.915, p=.000)를 보였으며, 태도가 긍정적으로 높을수록 실천율도 높다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 앞으로의 임상간호사를 대상으로 병원 내 감염성 폐기물에 대한 교육을 진행할 시에는 태도의 변화와 실천을 높일 수 있는 방안으로 획일적인 교육방법 보다는 병원 내 간호사들의 근무 특성과 환경에 맞춘 교육 프로그램을 통하여 감염성 폐기물에 대한 최신 정보 및 교육을 접할 수 있도록 하여 감염성 폐기물 관리 중요성에 대한 인지도를 높여야 할 것으로 사료된다.

영문 초록

This study is a descriptive research study to identify the relationship between knowledge, attitudes and practices of infectious medical wastes in nurses working in the clinic. This data was collected by Nov 1, 2018 to Dec 28, 2018, from 295 clinical nurses working at two general hospitals in G city. The data were analyzed using the SPSS 18.0 program using t-test, one-way ANOVA and pearson correlation coefficient analysis. The results showed that the correlation between knowledge and attitude was r=.172 and p=.003, and the correlation between knowledge and practice was r=.198 and p=.001. This does not mean that a high knowledge of infectious medical waste will increase the attitude and practice. On the other hand, the attitude and practice showed a clear positive correlation (r=.915, p=.000). The higher the attitude, the higher the practice rate. Therefore, when conducting education training on infectious medical waste in hospitals for clinical nurses in the future, it is necessary to improve the attitude change and practice. It is necessary to raise awareness of the importance of infectious medical waste management by providing access to the latest information and education on infectious medical waste through education programs tailored to the working characteristics and environment of nurses in hospitals rather than uniform education methods.
