국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 결혼이주여성의 문화예술 활동 경험이 결혼이주여성 삶 속에서의 사회, 생활 및 심리적 측면에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 탐색하고, 이를 바탕으로 결혼이주여성을 위한 문화예술 프로그램 개선 및 지원 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 그러기 위하여 질적 연구 중 사례 연구 방법을 활용하였으며, 중국 전통무용팀 ‘H’ 자조모임에 참여하고 있는 결혼이주여성 5명을 대상으로 문화예술 활동 참여 경험에 대해 심층 인터뷰를 진행하였다. 연구 결과 이주민의 문화예술 활동 경험은 타문화에 대한 이해 증진, 한국 문화 습득, 자문화 선전, 다문화인식 개선, 네트워크 형성, 경제적 보탬, 가족관계 개선, 삶의 질 향상, 사회적지지, 향수 해소, 자신감 및 자존감 향상 등 긍정적인 효과를 보았다. 하지만, 결혼이주여성의 문화예술 활동 프로그램 운영 과정에서 문화예술 활동에 대한 지원체계 미흡과 정주민으로부터의 사회적 편견이 문제점으로 확인되었다. 따라서, 본 연구는 이를 토대로 이주민을 위한 문화예술프로그램 개선방안을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore how the experience of cultural art activities of married immigrant women affects the social, living and psychological aspects of immigrants‘ life, and to propose ways to improve cultural art programs based on it. Thus, the case study method was used during qualitative research and in-depth interviews were conducted for five migrant women who participated in the “H” self-help group, a traditional Chinese dance team, focusing on their experiences in cultural art activities. According to the study, married immigrant women’s experience in cultural art activities has seen positive effects such as enhancing understanding of other cultures, acquiring Korean culture, promoting self-cultivation, improving multicultural awareness, forming networks, economic assistance, improving quality of life, social support, improving family relations, relieving nostalgia and enhancing confidence and self-esteem. However, the lack of support system for cultural art activities and social prejudice from permanent residents were identified as problems in the operation of the cultural art activities of migrant women. Therefore, this study suggested ways to improve cultural art programs for immigrants based on this.
