국문 초록

본 연구는 유아 지역사회문화 프로그램을 개발하여 이를 실제적으로 적용해 봄으로써 유아의 지역사회문화 이해에 대한 효과를 검증하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 먼저 문헌고찰 및 선행연구, 델파이 분석을 통하여 프로그램의 하위내용요소를 추출하고 목적 및 목표, 내용, 방법을 고려하여 프로그램을 구성하였다. 다음으로 이를 유아교육 전문가 3인과 박사과정 대학원생 2인 그리고 현장전문가 5인에게 적합성을 검증받았다. 그리고 개발된 프로그램을 만 5세 유아를 대상으로 적용하고 지역사회문화교육 프로그램의 최종목표인 지역사회문화 이해에 미치는 효과를 검증하였다. 본 연구를 위한 절차는 예비검사, 교사교육, 사전검사, 실험처치, 사후검사의 순으로 진행되었다. 그 결과 본 연구에서 개발된 유아 지역사회문화 프로그램은 유아의 지역사회문화 이해를 증진시킨 것으로 나타났으며, 유아의 지역사회문화 이해 검사도구의 하위영역인 지리, 예술, 건축, 인물, 역사, 과학, 축제 면에서도 통계적으로 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 뿐만 아니라 연구를 통해 앞으로 유아의 지역사회문화에 대한 이해를 증진시킬 수 있는 교육프로그램으로서 현장 적용 가능성을 시사하고 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to develop a community cultural education program for young children, and to apply this in practice in order to verify its effects on young children’s understanding of their community culture. For this purpose, sub-contents elements of the program was extracted through a literature review, preceding research, and Delphi analysis, and the program was organized considering the purpose, goal, content, and method. Next, they were qualified by three early childhood education specialists, two students in doctoral program, and five field experts. And then, the developed program was applied to five-year old children to verify its effectiveness on their understanding of community culture, which is the final goal of the program. The procedures for this study were conducted in the order of preliminary study, teacher education, pretest, experimental treatment, and posttest. As a result, the developed program have improved young children’s understanding of community culture and, also showed a significant difference in geography, art, architecture, character, history, science, and festivals, which are subdivisions of assessment tool for young children’s understanding of community culture. Not only that, the result proposed its onsite applicability as an education program to help young children improve their understanding of community culture in the future.
