초보상담자의 상담자 직업 인식

국문 초록

본 연구는 초보상담자의 상담자 직업 인식을 밝히고자 초보상담자 8명을 대상으로 전화인터뷰를 실시하였고, Giorgi의 현상학적 연구방법을 사용하여 자료를 분석하였다. 연구결과 초보상담자의 상담자 직업 인식은 15개의 구성요소와 28개의 하위구성요소로 도출되었다. 15개의 구성요소는 ‘사람에 대한 관심과 전문적 봉사에 대한 동기로 선택함’, ‘학습경험이 선택의 계기가 됨’, ‘우연기회의 영향으로 선택함’, ‘내담자 중심의 태도를 갖춰야 함’, ‘상담자로서 성찰과 전문성 개발이 요구됨’, ‘삶의 경험이 투영되는 의미있는 일’, ‘직업경계가 유연하고 확장이 용이함’, ‘교육과 훈련을 개인에게 강조하고 제도적· 구조적 정책은 열악함’, ‘경제적 처우가 열악하고 사회적 인식이 낮음’, ‘전문가로의 성장과 처우를 기대함’, ‘높은 수요가 전망되나 부작용이 예측됨’, ‘직업 환경 개선에 대한 기대감이 낮음’, ‘선한 영향력과 자기성장의 직업’, ‘소명감’, ‘책임과 부담을 느낌’인 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 초보상담자의 상담자 직업 인식의 의의와 시사점을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to conduct a telephone interview with 8 novice counselors and to analyze the data using Giorgi s phenomenological research method. As a result, the counselor s job recognition of the novice counselor was derived with 15 components and 28 subcomponents. 15 components should be chosen as ‘motivation for attention to people and professional service , ‘learning experiences are the driving force for choice , choice by chance , and ‘client-centered attitude , ‘Requires reflection and professional development as counselors , ‘significant work reflecting life experiences , ‘job boundaries are flexible and easy to expand , ‘emphasis on education and training to individuals and poor institutional and structural policies , ‘economical poor treatment and low social awareness’, ‘expecting growth as a professional, high demand but anticipated side effects’, ‘low expectations for improving the working environment’, ‘good influence and self-growth Job , ‘a sense of calling and ‘ feeling responsible and burdened’. Based on these results, the implications and implications of the counselor s job recognition of the novice counselors were discussed.
