국문 초록

본 연구는 초등학교장이 단위학교 경영자로서 학교 교육과정 경영에서 발휘하는 교육과정 리더십에 관한 교원들의 인식을 알아보기 위하여 2018년 8월 23일부터 9월 28일까지 서울지역 초등교원 311명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 수집된 데이 터는 SPSS Statistics 21.0과 엑셀을 활용하여 기초통계, 평균 차이 검증(t-검증, F검증), IPA, 그리고 Borich 요구도 분석 방법을 활용하였다. 초등학교장 교육과정 리더십은 교육과정 경영역량, 수업 지원역량, 교육행정 관리역량, 대외 협력역량, 책임과 윤리역량으로 도출하여 역량의 중요성을 교원들로부터 검증하였으며, 중요도와 수행도에 있어 유의미하게 차이가 나는 것으로 볼 때, 학교장의 교육과정 리더십 역량을 보다 증진시킬 필요성을 확인할 수 있었다. 이에 본 연구는 초등학교장의 교육과정 리더십에 관한 인식을 파악함으로써 학교 교육의 질 제고를 위한 학교장의 교육과정 리더십 함양에 대해 필요성을 제시한다는 측면에서 의의가 있으며, 연구 결과는 학교장 교육과정 리더십을 개발하고 향상시킬 수 있는 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것을 기대한다.

영문 초록

This study surveyed 311 elementary school teachers in Seoul from August 13th 2018 to September 28th to find out the teachers’ perception of curriculum leadership in school curriculum management by elementary school principals. The data were analyzed using basic statistics, t-test, F-test, Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA), and Borich demand analysis. The analysis was processed by SPSS Statistics 21.0 and Excel. The curriculum leadership in school curriculum management by elementary school principals is derived from curriculum management capability, class support capability, educational administration management capability, external cooperation capability, responsibility and ethics capability. There were statistically identifiable difference between the importance and the performance level of the curriculum leadership. As a result, we could derive the need to improve the principal s curriculum leadership capacity. Therefore, this study suggests the necessity of cultivating the principal s curriculum leadership for improving the quality of school education by grasping the curriculum leadership capacity of elementary school principals. The result can be used as basic data for further studies.
