원가족 건강성이 회복탄력성을 매개로 부부갈등 대처행동에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 Bowen의 가족체계이론에서 강조되는 원가족에서의 경험이 자녀에게 모델링을 통해 세대 간 전수된다는 관점에서, 기혼남녀의 원가족 건강성 및 회복탄력성이 부부갈등 대처행동에 미치는 영향관계를 규명하고자 하였다. 서울, 경기 등 전국에 거주하는 기혼남·녀 432명에 대하여 설문조사를 토대로 한 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 원가족 건강성이 부부갈등의 네 가지 대처행동(이성적 대처, 외부도움요청, 감정ㆍ행동 표출, 회피행동)중에서 외부도움요청에 대한 정적 영향만이 통 계적으로 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 원가족이 건강한 기혼남녀일수록 회복탄력성의 수준이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 기혼남녀의 회복탄력성은, 부부간 갈등상황에서 네 가지 대처행동에 대해서 모두 통계적으로 유의한 영향이 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이의 결과는 원가족 건강성이 부부갈등대처 행동에 대한 직접적인 영향력은 제한적이지만, 회복탄력성을 매개로 한 간접효과는 견고하게 나타남을 실증적으로 확인하였다.

영문 초록

This study is aimed to verify the relationship between family of origin health and self-resiliency of married men and women on coping behaviors of marital conflict, from the standpoint of Bowen family systems theory, which emphasizes that experience gained from the original family is passed down from generation to generation through modeling. Based on a survey of 432 married men and women residing across the country, including Seoul, the results are as follows. First, among relationships between health of the family of origin and the following four coping behaviors – rational coping, seeking for external help, expressing negative emotions and behaviors, and avoidance, only seeking for external help is found positively, significantly related statistically. Second, married man and women from healthier family of origin showed higher level of self-resiliency. Third, the self-resiliency of married men and women was found to have a statistically significant effect on all four coping behaviors in marital conflict situations. The results confirmed empirically the family of origin health had a limited direct influence on the behavior of married men and women in marital conflict, but the indirect effect of it was found affirmed through resilience.
