국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 청소년의 사회 정서적 발달 측면에 주목하여 지각된 부모의 통제적 양육행동(과잉간섭)이 청소년의 외현화 문제행동(공격성) 및 공동체 의식에 미치는 영향에서 또래애착의 매개효과를 검증하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 한국청소년정책 연구원에서 실시한 한국 아동·청소년패널조사(KCYPS) 초등학교 4학년 패널의 7차년도(2016년) 자료를 사용하였다. 구조방정식으로 연구모형을 검증한 결과, 부모의 과잉간섭은 또래애착에 부적인 영향을 미치고 청소년의 공격성에 정적인 영향을 미 치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 부모의 과잉간섭이 공격성 및 공동체 의식에 미치는 영향에서 또래애착은 매개효과를 보이는 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구는 청소년기 또래 애착이 부모의 과잉간섭과 청소년의 공격성 간의 부정적인 영향을 완화해 주는 동시에 공동체 의식을 높이는 데 긍정적 영향을 주는 중요한 매개요인임을 확인할 수 있었다는 점에서 연구의 의의를 지닌다. 본 연구 결과는 청소년의 외현화 문제행동(공격성)을 예방하거나 감소시키고 공동체 의식을 높이는데 부모의 통제적 양육행동(과잉간섭)에 대한 주의가 필요하고 신뢰와 의사소통을 중심으로 한, 질 높은 또래관계형성의 중요함을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effect that adolescents’ peer-to-peer attachments has on perceived parental controlled parenting behavior (intrusiveness) on their externalizing problem behavior (aggression) and sense of community. Data were from the 7th grade (2016) panel of the Korea Children Youth Panel Survey(KCYPS) conducted by The Nation Youth Policy Institute(NYPI). parental intrusiveness had negative effects on peer attachment and had a positive effect on adolescent aggression. As expected, parental intrusiveness had a direct positive effect on adolescents’ aggression and a direct negative effect on adolescents’ sense of community. However, parental intrusiveness also decreased peer-to-peer attachment, and poor peer-to-peer attachment then explained why adolescents reported high aggression and low sense of community. This study shows how problematic parenting behavior (intrusiveness) leaves adolescents’ poorly prepared for social relationships in the school setting.
