국문 초록

본 연구는 지방공기업의 부채영향요인을 내부 효율성 요인, 청렴도 요인, 투명성 요인으로 구분하여 각 요인들이 지방공기업의 부채규모에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 분석하였다. 이를 위해 2013년부터 2017년 간 151개 지방공기업을 대상으로 실증 분석하였다. 분석 결과 내부 효율성 요인인 업무추진비 비중과 지방공기업의 부채규모가 통계적으로 유의미한 양의 상관관계 를 가졌다. 이는 지방공기업 중 업무추진비 비중이 큰 기관이 부채규모도 클 수 있다는 것을 보여준다. 또한 외부청렴도도 지방공기업의 부채 규모에 유의미한 영향을 미쳤다. 이는 외부청렴도가 낮을수록 지방공기업의 부채규모가 늘어난다는 것을 보여준다. 정보공개율로 측정된 투명성 요인은 지방공기업의 부채에 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치지 않았다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the determinants of the size of local public enterprises debt in Korea, focusing on efficiency, integrity, and transparency. Using 151 local public enterprise data from 2013 to 2017, this study finds that internal efficiency measured by operating expenses has a significantly positive relationship with the size of local public enterprises debt in Korea. This result implies that the higher the operating expenses, the larger the amount of debt. Also, external integrity has a significantly negative relationship with the size of local public enterprises debt. Therefore, we expect that external integrity can reduce the size of local public enterprises debt. Finally, transparency does not have a significant relationship with the size of debt.
