중학생의 스마트폰 중독수준과 사용유형에 따른 심리사회적 특성의 차이

국문 초록

본 연구는 중학생의 스마트폰 중독수준과 사용유형의 상호작용에 따른 심리사회적 특성의 차이를 연구하기 위해 경기도, 충청도, 강원도 지역의 중학생 591명을 대상으로 이루어졌다. 스마트폰 중독수준 척도, 스마트폰 사용유형 척도, 사회불안 척 도, 자기통제감 척도, 스트레스 대처행동 척도, 학교생활적응 척도를 실시하였으며, 설문지를 배포하고 수집한 기간은 2018년 3월 12일부터 3월 16일까지였다. 수거된 513부 중 스마트폰 이용동기, 자주 사용하는 애플리케이션, 애플리케이션 실제 사용 시간을 모두 동일한 유형으로 표기된 308부를 대상으로 분석하였으며, 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 스마트폰 중독수준에 따른 심리사회적 특성의 차이에서 고위험군은 다른 군에 비해 대인불안, 수행불안이 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 고위험군과 잠재적 위험군은 일반군에 비해 소극/회피적 대처와 공격적 대처를 많이 하며, 자기통제감, 학교수업적응이 낮았다. 둘째, 스마트폰 사용유형에 따른 심리사회적 특성의 차이검증에서 오락추구형은 다른 유형보다 학교생활적응 및 교사관계, 교우관계에서 낮은 점수를 보였고, 적극대처, 학교규칙적응이 낮았다. 학교수업에서 오락추구형, 관계추구형이 정보추구형보다 수업적응이 어려운 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 스마트폰 중독수준과 사용유형의 상호작용에 따른 심리사회적 특성의 차이에서는 중독수준이 높아질수록 오락추구형이 관계추구형에 비해 수행불안, 공격적 대처가 많아지고, 교사관계가 낮은 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to identify the difference in psychosocial charcateristic based on middle school sudent’s smart phone addiction level and usage type. For the research, this study conducted a survey on 591 middle school students and measured smart phone addiction level, smart phone usage type, social anxiety, self-control, stress coping behavior, and school life adaptation. The results were as follows. In analysis of difference in psychosocial characteristic based on interaction between smart phone addiction and usage type, significant interaction effects were found in performance anxiety, aggressive measure, and relationship with teacher. In general group, the two groups showed no difference. However, when the students had higher smart phone addiction level, entertainment-seeking group showed higher performance anxiety and aggressive measure while having lower score in relationship with teacher compared to relation-seeking group.
