국문 초록

연구는 대학생의 평가염려 완벽주의와 사회불안의 관계에서 정서적 지지로 조절된 자기자비의 매개효과를 검증하였다. 이를 위해 2018년 3월 서울, 충청, 전라, 경상 지역의 7개 대학에 재학 중인 대학생 541명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하고 SPSS 25.0과 PROCESS Macro 2.16을 사용하여 분석하였다. 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 자기자비는 평가염려 완벽주의와 사회불안의 관계를 유의하게 부분매개 하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 정서적 지지는 평가염려 완벽주의와 자기자비의 관계를 유의하게 조절하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 평가염려 완벽주의와 자기자비, 사회불안의 관계에서 정서적 지지가 유의한 조절된 매개효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 연구결과는 평가염려 완벽주의 성향이 높은 대학생이 경험하는 사회불안의 수준을 낮추기 위해 자기자비의 태도를 기르는 것이 치료적 효과가 있다는 것을 말한다. 또한 그동안 간과되어왔던 환경요인인 정서적 지지의 조절효과를 통합적으로 규명함으로써 사회불안으로 고통을 호소하는 대학생을 위한 개입 전략을 세우는 데 기초자료로 활용될 것으로 기대된다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구가 갖는 의의와 제한점 및 후속연구에 대한 제언을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the mediating effect of self-compassion moderated by emotional support, in the relationship between evaluative concerns perfectionism and social anxiety. For this purpose, the responses of 541 college students were analyzed using SPSS 25.0 and PROCESS Macro 2.16 in March 2018. The results are self-compassion significantly mediated the relationship between perfectionism and social anxiety. Second, emotional support significantly controlled the relationship between perfectionism and self-compassion. Third, emotional support had significant effect of moderated mediation between perfectionism, self-compassion and social anxiety. The results suggest that raising attitude of self-compassion is therapeutic to reduce social anxiety experienced by college students with a high degree of perfectionism. It is expected to be used as data for establishing intervention strategies for college students who are suffering from social anxiety by integrating the control effect of emotional support which has been neglected in the meantime. Based on these results, implication, limitations and future direction for research were discussed.
