일본 평생학습도시에 담긴 평생교육 실천적 함의

국문 초록

본 연구는 “사회교육으로서의 평생교육”이라는 관점에서 일본 평생학습도시를 분석함으로써 지역 내 존재하는 학습자원의 평생교육 실천적 함의를 고찰하고자하였다. 검토 결과, 일본의 평생학습도시는 평생학습시민연계형(시부야대학), 평생 학습공간활용형(도쿄 장난감 미술관), 평생학습자원공유형(2K540 AKI-OKA ARTISAN)으로 대별할 수 있다. 그런데 평생학습도시의 유형화는 지역(local)의 다양성 통합과 시혜성을 동반한 지역경제 활성화에 초점이 맞추어진 것이 아닌 지 역(region)에 산재해 있는 교육자원의 연계ㆍ활용을 통한 참여ㆍ학습의 체화 가능한 학습환경을 고려한 것이었다. 즉, 지역색에 바탕을 두고 추진된 권리로서의 지역사회교육은 생활과제와 소집단학습을 매개로 하는 “해방의 생애학습론의 실천” 인 것이다. 이상의 결론에 의거하여 본 연구에서는 사회교육의 실천 및 주민참여, 그리고 평생교육ㆍ평생학습ㆍ사회교육에 대한 개념 정리의 필요성을 제언하였다. 구성주의와의 연결을 시도하였다.

영문 초록

This study analyzes lifelong learning cities in Japan in terms of lifelong education as social education to consider the implication in terms of lifelong education as local learning resource. According to the study result, continuing education cities in Japan can be dived into a type connected with local people(Shibuya University), a type utilizing the space(Tokyo Toy Museum) and a type sharing resource(2K540 AKI-OKA ARTISAN). Types of lifelong education cities reflect connection with educational resources in the region. participation through utilization and learning environment, rather than focusing on vitalization of local economy accompanying local diversity and advantages. Therefore ocal community education as a right based on local characteristics is practicing liberating lifelong education theories through life problem and small group learning. In conclusion, this study suggests necessity of practicing social education, participation of the local community and identifying the concepts of lifelong education, lifelong learning and social education.
