중학생의 대인관계능력, 미디어리터러시, 비판적 사고역량이 성지식, 성태도, 성행동에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 성 정체감 형성 시기인 중학생들의 대인관계능력과 미디어리터러시, 비판적 사고역량이 성지식, 성태도, 성행동에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 특히, 성별에 따라 성지식, 성태도, 성행동에 대한 대인관계능력, 미디어리터러시, 비판적 사고역량의 영향력이 어떻게 다른지를 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 경기도 소재 6개 시의 중학교 3학년 345명의 학생을 대상으로 자료를 수집하여 분석하였다. 그 결과, 성지식에 대해서는 미디어리터러시와 비판적 사고역량이 유의하게 영향을 미쳤으며, 설명력은 28%이었다. 성태도에 대해서는 비판적 사고역량과 대인관계능력이 유의하게 영향을 미쳤으며, 설명력은 29%이었다. 성행동에 대해서는 대인관계능력만 유의하게 영향을 미쳤으며, 설명력은 5%이었다. 그리고 성지식과 성태도에 영향을 미치는 변인이 성별에 따라 달랐다. 남학생은 여학생과 달리 성지식 형성에는 비판적 사고역량이, 성태도 형성에는 대인관계능력이 추가적으로 유의하게 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과는 변화하는 미디어 시대를 살아가는 청소년들이 올바른 성지식과 성태도를 형성하도록 미디어리터러시 역량과 비판적 사고역량, 대인관계능력을 포함하고 남녀의 차이를 고려한 성교육 프로그램이 필요하다는 시사점을 가진다.

영문 초록

This study analyzed the effects of Interpersonal Relationships, Media Literacy, and Critical Thinking on Sexual Knowledge, Sexual Attitude, and Sexual Behavior in the middle school students, undergoing the development of gender identity. In particular, we analyzed how the influences of sexual knowledge, sexual attitude, interpersonal relationships, media literacy, and critical thinking are distinguished according to the gender. For this purpose, the analytical data were collected and analyzed the initial pool of 345 students of the third grader in middle schools from 6 cities in Gyeonggido. As a result, media literacy and critical thinking had a significant effect on sexual knowledge, and its explanatory power accounts for 28%. Critical thinking and interpersonal relationships were significantly influenced by sexual attitude, and its explanatory power accounts for 29%. Sexual behavior was significantly influenced by interpersonal skills, and its explanatory power reaches to 5%. The variables which have influences Sexual Knowledge and Sexual attitude differ as to how to decide the gender. Unlike female students, male students had a significant influence on critical thinking for developing sexual knowledge, and in addition, important influence on interpersonal relationships for developing sexual attitude. Our findings suggest that a Sex Education Program including media literacy, critical thinking, interpersonal relationships, and gender differences is a prerequisite essential for adolescents that are living in an era of rapidly changing Media environment, and developing the affirmative Sexual Knowledge and Sexual Attitude.
