대학생의 공감능력과 대인관계유능성이 문제중심학습을 활용한 과목 흥미도에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 사회관계기술인 공감능력과 대인관계유능성이 문제중심학습을 활용한 과목 흥미도에 미치는 효과를 검증하고, 대학교에서 문제중심학습을 실행할때 고려해야 할 요인을 밝히는 것이다. 이를 위해 G도에 위치한 4년제 대학교의 아 동학과 수업에서 문제중심학습을 활용해 실행한 후 수강생 33명을 대상으로 공감능력과 대인관계유능성, 과목 흥미도 검사를 실시했다. 수집된 자료는 jamovi 1.0.0을 이용해 상관관계 검증과 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 문제중심학습이 활용된 과목에 대한 대학생의 흥미도는 그들의 공감능력 및 대인관계유능성과 정적인 상관관계를 가진 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 공감능력이 과목 흥미도를 유의미하게 예측하는 것으로 나타났으며, 특히 인지적 공감능력이 높을수록 문제중심학습이 활용된 과 목에 대한 흥미도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 대인관계유능성도 과목 흥미도를 유의미하게 예측하는 것으로 나타났으며, 특히 관계를 형성하는 능력, 타인을 배려하는 능력, 갈등을 관리하는 능력, 자신을 적절하게 표현하는 능력이 높을수록 문제중심학 습법이 활용된 과목에 대한 흥미도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 대학교에서 문제중심학습법을 적용해 교육과정을 운영할 때에는 공감과 대인관계기술을 먼저 개발시킬 필요가 있으며, 문제중심학습 교육과정에 통합해 운영하는 방식도 적극적으 로 고려해야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to explore the effects of empathy and interpersonal competence on college students’ interest in a problem-based learning (PBL) course. To achieve the research goals, PBL was applied in a class with 33 college students. Post-tests were performed to measure empathy, interpersonal skills, and participants’ interest in the course subject after the 15-week PBL class. Through Pearson correlation tests and regression tests, the college students’ interest was found to be significantly correlated with empathy and interpersonal competence. Both empathy and interpersonal competence statistically significantly predicted the students’ interest in the PBL-based course subject. The results suggest that the college students with higher empathy and interpersonal competence were more interested in the course that applied the PBL curriculum. These findings indicate that PBL courses should be applied in programs that aim to foster empathy and interpersonal skills.
