국문 초록

200만명이 넘는 외국인 국내에 체류하고 있으며, 40만명 이상의 외국인 근로자가 있는 현 시점에서 외국인 범죄는 증가하는 수준이 아님에도 불구하고 외국인 범죄자에 대한 연구와 관련 대책 방안 연구가 주를 이루고 있다. 따라서 이 연구에서는 남자 경찰교육생을 대상으로 하여 외국인 근로자에 대한 사회적 거리감 인식에 영향을 미치는 요인을 탐색하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 또한 외국인 근로자에 대한 사회적 거리감 수준을 비롯하여, 부정적 감정, 부정적 고정관념의 인식 수준을 살펴보았다. 인구사회학적 특성 및 개인요인을 통제요인으로 하여 사회적 거리감의 영향요인을 살펴본 결과 부정적 고정 관념과 부정적 감정수준이 높을수록 사회적 거리감이 낮은 것으로 외국인 근로자에 대한 경찰교육생의 수준이 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 특히 소수자집단에 대한 교육을 운영하고 있음에도 불구하고 이 교육의 수업 및 수업횟수 등이 영향요인으로 나타나지 않는 점 등을 고려하여 경찰 교육생을 대상으로 한 소수집단교육에 전문성 확보가 필요하다. 나아가 부정적 감정과 부정적 고정관념을 변화시키기 위한 추후 연구가 필요하다

영문 초록

As of 2018, there are 2.3million foreigners staying in the country, and the Justice Ministry expects the number to exceed 3 million within the next five years. The study looked into the perception of social distinctions and factors of influence on foreign workers among male educators at the Central Police Academy. We looked at the level of social distinctions against foreign workers, the level of negative feelings and the level of awareness of negative stereotypes The results of the study are as follows The level of social distance sensitivity was relatively high, and the level of social distance sensitivity was low, which could be seen as high acceptance level. But when it comes to being my family s spouse, it turns out that the acceptance level is relatively low. Also, negative response and stereotypes about foreign workers were relatively low. The higher the level of negative stereotypes and negative response, the lower the social distance, and the lower the level of police education students for foreign workers, the report showed. Therefore, preliminary police officers are recognized for the need for education and awareness changes in minority groups, including foreign workers. Furthermore, methods and research are needed to change negative response and negative stereotypes
