영문 초록
In this paper, we performed the design of float, driving mechanism of landing gear, design & manufacturing the scale float, RC flight test with scale floats. Because the bottom shapes of float are very critical point for float design step, we designed the three different types of float(A/B/C) according to the bottom shapes such as flared type, unflared type. Also, we developed the driving mechanisms of main landing gear, nose landing gear, rudder for sea and land operation, and then we designed and manufactured the scale floats to verify the performance by RC flight test. Moreover we carried out various flight test sequentially including taxing, take off & landing, flight test by using three different aircraft such as high-wing, middle-wing, low-wing type, then we compared the performance and directional stability characteristics of three different type of scale floats. The float with bottom shape of flared type was showed more high performance than unflared type during the RC flight test. As a result, the bottom shape of float is significant factor determining the design shape for amphibious float for light aircraft.
