PBL 수업을 수강한 예비유아교사의 공감능력과 의사소통능력과의 관계: 배려의 매개 효과

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 PBL에 기반한 수업을 수강한 예비유아교사의 공감능력과 타인에 대한 배려 능력이 의사소통능력에 영향을 주는지를 살펴보고, 공감능력과 의사소 통능력의 관계에 있어서 타인에 대한 배려 능력의 매개 효과를 검증하는데 있다. 연구 목적을 성취하기 위하여 본 연구에서는 G시 4년제 대학에서 PBL에 기반한 교사 론을 수강한 예비유아교사 33명을 대상으로 공감능력, 타인에 대한 배려 능력, 의사 소통능력을 검사하였으며, SPSS 19.0 프로그램과 jamovi 1.0.0을 이용해 상관분석, 중다회귀분석, 위계적 회귀분석, 부트스트래핑(bootstrapping)을 실시하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, PBL을 수강한 예비유아교사의 공감능력, 타인에 대한 배려, 의사소통능력은 유의한 정적 상관을 보였다. 둘째, 공감능력이 높을수록 예비유아교사의 의사소통능력이 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 타인에 대한 배려 능력은 공감능력과 의사 소통능력 사이에서 부분적인 매개 효과를 보였다. 따라서, 예비유아교사의 의사소통 능력을 높이기 위해서는 공감능력을 높이고 이를 통해 타인에 대한 배려를 높일 수있는 수업 방식이 필요해 보인다. 예비유아교사의 의사소통능력을 높이기 위해 공감에 기초하고 배려의 기회를 높이는 PBL에 기반한 수업 방식을 도입하고 지원할 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to explore the relationships between empathy, care, and communication competence and the mediating effect of care between empathy and the communication competence of pre-service preschool teachers who took a course of teacher education using problem-based learning(PBL). We performed psychological tests for the empathy, care, and communication competence of 33 pre-service preschool teachers who took a PBL-based teacher education course in an University. The data analysis, which used the correlation test, simple linear regression analysis, hierarchical regression analysis and bootstrapping, showed that pre-service preschool teachers’ empathy, care, and communication competence were positively correlated, that empathy had a significant effect on care and communication competence, and that care had a significant effect on communication competence. Additionally, there was a partial mediating effect of care between empathy and communication competence. The results suggest that improving empathy and care helps pre-service preschool teachers foster communication competence. Thus, when applying PBL, pre-service preschool teachers should learn empathic skills and be mindful of care in order to promote communication competence.
