Lactic acid is a strong acidic substance that is produced and accumulated during high-intensity exercise. If it is not removed sufficiently, it causes fatigue and decreased muscle activity. This not only deteriorates the performance but also affects the future exercise. Several studies have been done to solve the problems of lactic acid. Studies on nutritional aspects such as intake of proteins, amino acids, and nti-oxidants, and inactivity such as massage or immersion methods and temperature differences have been proposed. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of aerobic cool-down on lactic acid removal using a step-box for 15 minutes as part of the restoration of activity. Based on elevated lactate after high intensity exercise, there was a statistically significant difference in lactic acid (p = .01) between the aerobic cool-down group using the setp-box and complete rest group . Therefore, the
aerobic cool-down using the step-box was more effective in removing lactic acid than the inactivity complete rest.
