국제교육실습 프로그램 개발에 있어서 다문화역량 향상을 위한 사전교육의 효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 다문화 역량 향상을 위한 국제교육실습 사전교육프로그램을 개발하고 그 효과를 알아보기 위해 실시되었다. 이를 위하여 국제교육실습 유경험자 27명을 대상으로 요구조사를 실시하여 사전교육 콘텐츠를 개발하고, 미국으로 교육실습을 갈 39명의 예비교사들에게 투입하여 효과를 검증하였다. 설문은 사전 검사(2018년 11월)와 사후(2018년 12월)로 시행되었다. 이에 대한 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 국제교육실습 유경험자들의 사전교육 요구조사에서 드러난 다문화 지식과 태도에 대한 인식의 중요도와 보유도는 다르게 나타났다. 둘째, 다문화교육에 대한 사전과 사후검사지에 제작된 요인은 다문화지식과 다문화태도로 나뉘어진 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 다문화교육에 대한 사후검사지의 설명력은 63.46%로서 높게 나타났다. 넷째, 국제교육실습 유경험자들의 사전교육 요구조사 결과에 입각하여 개발된 다문화역량 강화 프로그램 실시 전후의 연구대상자들의 다문화지식과 태도에 있어서 사전검사에 있어서는 학년 간 차이가 있었으나, 사후검사에서는 학년 간 차이가 없어졌다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 몇 가지 관련 이슈가 논의되었다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted to develop an orientation program for an international teaching practicum to enhance the multi-cultural competence of pre-service elementary school teachers and to evaluate the effectiveness of the orientation program. To develop the contents of the orientation program in detail, a survey examining the needs of orientation was administered on 27 people who were in the international teaching practicum. An orientation program was developed based on the survey results. After that, to evaluate its effectiveness, 39 pre-service teachers who were going to participate in the international teaching practicum were asked to attend in the orientation program. They went through two surveys: one was done just before they were actually in the orientation(Nov. 2018) and the other one right after the program participation(Dec. 2018). The findings of the research are: firstly, there were significant differences between their perception of multi-cultural importance and multi-cultural possession of the 27 research participants. Secondly, the factors of multi-cultural education designed for the surveys both before and after the orientation program were clearly divided into two factors: multi-cultural knowledge and multi-cultural attitude. Thirdly, the validity of the explanation of the survey administered after the orientation program was appeared high as 63.46%. Finally, the survey carried out just before the orientation program showed significant difference between the students’ grades in terms of their gaining of multi-cultural knowledge and attitude, but after the implementation of the orientation program, the difference between the grades of the students was not significant. In relation to these research outcomes, several issues were discussed.
