교원능력개발평가에 참여한 병설유치원 소규모학급 교사 이야기

국문 초록

본 연구는 초등학교 병설유치원 소규모학급에 근무 중인 교사의 유치원 교원능력 개발평가 참여경험에 따른 인식과 그 원인을 분석하고, 교사들이 제안하는 개선방안에 대해 살펴봄으로써 유치원 교원능력개발평가의 현장안착 방안을 모색하기 위해 실시되었다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위해 G도에 위치한 병설유치원 소규모학급 담임교사 7명을 연구참여자로 선정하였다. 연구자는 2018년 7월부터 관련 문헌연구를 실시하였고, 자료수집은 9월부터 12월까지 약 3개월간 총 23회의 개별면담을 통해 이루어졌다. 면담 시간은 1회당 약 40-50분이 소요되었으며, 빈 교실이나 원무실 등 조용한 공간에서 진행되었다. 이후 면담내용을 녹음하고 전사하여 ‘코딩-범주화-주제 도출’의 과정을 거쳐 자료를 분석하였다. 연구결과, 유치원 교원능력개발평가는 ‘평가참여자들의 동상이몽(同床異夢)’, ‘강요된 한단지보(邯鄲之步)’, ‘자강불식(自强不息)하는 소규모학급 교사들’의 모습으로 분석되었으며, 제도의 안착을 위한 개선방안을 제안하였다. 이를 통해 본 연구는 유치원 교원능력개발평가 제도의 발전에 필요한 기초자료가 된다는 점에 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted to analyze the perception and causes of teachers participation in the teacher evaluation system for professional development in kindergarten while working in small class attached to elementary school, and to explore the stable measures on field of the teacher evaluation system for professional development by looking at the improvement measures proposed by teachers. To achieve this goal, seven small class teachers in kindergartens located in G-do were selected as study participants. The researchers conducted the related literature study from July, 2018, and the data collection was conducted through a total of 23 individual interviews for about three months from September to December. The interview time was about 40-50 minutes per session, and it was conducted in a quiet space such as an empty classroom or a staffroom. And then after recording the contents of the interviews, we analyzed the data through the process of coding - categorization – drawing a themes . As a result of the study, the teacher evaluation system for professional development in kindergarten was analyzed in forms of ‘Although they work together, they each have different thought(同床異夢) by participant’, ‘fored Handan’s step(邯鄲之步)-If a bird follows the stork, the crotch tears.’, ‘ceaseless endeavors(自强不息) of teachers in small class’ and proposed improvement measures to stabilize the system. It is meaningful that this study is the basic data necessary for the development of the teacher evaluation system for professional development in kindergarten.
