국문 초록

본 연구는 미국 사회과 교사용 지도서 2종을 분석하여 교사용 지도서 개발에 필요한 유의미한 시사점을 얻고자 하였다. 미국의 McGraw-Hill사와 Houghton Mifflin사에서 발행된 사회과 교사용 지도서를 분석한 결과, 다음과 같은 공통적인 특징이 있었다. 첫째, 미국 교사용 지도서는 학생들의 수준을 고려한 다양한 과제를 제시하고 있었다. 둘째, 각 차시마다 학습 내용과 연계할 수 있는 타 교과 활동을 제시하고 있었다. 셋째, 출판사에서는 교사용 지도서 외에 교사가 다양한 교수 학습 자료 및 읽 기 자료를 발행하고 있었다. 넷째, 학생들의 수준에 따른 다양한 평가 자료를 수록하고 있었다. 본 연구 결과가 추후 교사용 지도서 개선에 유의미한 영향을 미치기를 기대한다.

영문 초록

Purpose of this study is to find out meaningful implication necessary for development of social studies teachers’ guidebook by analyzing two social studies teachers’ guidebooks published in American and comparing them to a guidebook published in Korea. The results are as follows. First, social studies teachers’ guidebooks should provide level-by-level tasks. It will help teachers to teach students according to each student’s level. Second, teachers’ guidebooks should provide various activities linked to other subjects. Considering that a goal of the 2015 revised social studies curriculum is to cultivate creative talents, it is very helpful for students to provide opportunities of integrating various subjects. Third, it is necessary for publishing company to publish various educational articles and materials in addition to textbooks and teachers’ guide books. It can provide many opportunities for teachers to select appropriate teaching and learning materials. Fourth, teachers’ guidebooks should provide various evaluation materials for effective evaluation.
