This study was conducted to examine the effect of postharvest storage temperature and period on quality and vase life of cut flower in spray chrysanthemum ‘Radost’. The cut flowers were treated with various temperature of 1, 4, 7, 10, and 20℃ for 5, 10, and 20 days. And then, it was measured the vase life and changes of quality such as fresh weight, flower diameter, and solution uptake before storage, after storage, and in preservative solution. At short-term storage for 5~10 days, the fresh weight and flower diameter was highly maintained and vase life was longer by 16 days in 1 and 4℃ condition than in other treatments. At long-term storage for 20~30 days, the fresh weight, flower diameter, and solution uptake were higher, and vase life was more increased about 1~8 days in treatment at 1℃ than in treatment at 4℃. Therefore, storing at 1 or 4℃ was best for storage for short-term storage, and storing at 1℃ was suitable for long-term storage in spray chrysanthemum ‘Radost’.
