This research was carried to determine the effect of pre-treatments on the maintenance of freshness and quality of cut chrysanthemum‘Yes Song’. Early flowering of flower-bud was delayed by treated with BA 25mgㆍL⁻¹ + ClO₂ 5mgㆍL⁻¹ + NaClO 200mgㆍL⁻¹. Changes of fresh weight was increased remarkably by BA 25mgㆍL⁻¹ + ClO₂ 5mgㆍL⁻¹ + NaClO 200mgㆍL⁻¹ compared with other treatment. In case of water uptake was increased until 5 days by treated with ClO₂ 5mgㆍL⁻¹, and senescence of flower was delayed by treated with BA 25mgㆍL⁻¹. Also chlorophyll content was increased by treated with BA 25mgㆍL⁻¹ + ClO₂ 5mgㆍL⁻¹ + NaClO 200mgㆍL⁻¹ compared with other treatment. Ethylene production was decreased remarkably by BA 25mgㆍL⁻¹ + ClO₂ 5mgㆍL⁻¹ + NaClO 200mgㆍL⁻¹. When cut chrysanthemum ‘Yes Song’ treated with BA 25mgㆍL⁻¹ + ClO₂ 5mgㆍL⁻¹ + NaClO 200mgㆍL⁻¹, vase life and quality of cut flower were increased. It is suggested that pre-treatment of BA 25mgㆍL⁻¹ + ClO₂ 5mgㆍL⁻¹ + NaClO 200mgㆍL⁻¹ could be used to increase of water uptake according to control of bacteria, freshness maintenance, and quality of cut chrysanthemum ‘Yes Song’.
