영문 초록

Recently the coffee bean imports in Korea has been increased along the change of the coffee consumption trend in Korea. This paper examines the import demand of the coffee bean in Korea to suggest implications for the coffee industry in Korea. For this purpose, Rotterdam demand system is performed by using the coffee bean import data of Korea from 2011 to 2017. The result of this study shows that Korean import market do not respond flexibly to the price change of the imported coffee beans. The result also found that there is a substitutive relationship between coffee beans imported from Vietnam or Indonesia and coffee beans imported from Ethiopia, Peru or Honduras.
