교수역량(teaching competencies) 척도의 타당화 연구: S대학교 교수자를 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구는 S대학교 교수자의 교수역량을 진단하는 도구를 개발하는데 목적이 있다. CEID(center for teaching studies and research)의 교수역량(teaching competencies) 개발 도구는 기획(planning), 개발(development), 결과(result) 3요인 구조로 구성되어 있다. 이러한 교수역량(teaching competencies) 도구를 S대학교 교수자에게 적용가능성 여부를 확인하기 위해 타당화 연구를 실시하였다. 이를 위해 전라남도(제2캠퍼스 충청남도)에 위치한 S대학교 교수자 105명을 대상으로 2018년 11월부터 2019년 1월까지 원척도에서 제시한 요인구조가 적합한지 탐색적 요인분석과 확인적 요인분석을 실시하여 타당성을 확보하였다. 분석 결과, 원척도에서 제시한 3요인 구조를 지지하였으나 하위영역 구성요인(강의준비 영역, 강의진행 영역, 강의정리 영역)에서 불일치하는 것으로 나타나 이를 중점적으로 논의하였다. 연구결과는 원척도에서 제시한 요인구조가 S대학교 교수자의 교수역량을 측정하여 적용이 가능함을 의미하며, S대학교의 교수역량 강화를 위한 CTL 특화 프로그램 개발에 기초자료를 제공한다는 점에서 의의를 가질 수 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to develop a tool for teaching competencies of S university professors. The tool for teaching competencies of the Center for Teaching Studies and Research (CEID) are composed of three factors: Planning, Development, and Result. To test whether the tool for teaching competencies could be applicable to S university professors, we conducted validation studies. For this purpose, the data responded by S university’s 105 professors in Jeollanam-do(Chungcheongnam-do, second campus) from November 2018 to January 2019 were analyzed by exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis and factor structure presented in original scale. As a result of the analysis, three-factor structure proposed in the original scale was supported, and subfactor(lecture preparation, lecture progress and lecture arrangement) that were different with original scale were concentrated in a discussion. The results of this study indicate that the factor structure presented in the original scale could be applied to measure the teaching competencies of S university’s professors and it has significance in providing basic data for the development of CTL specialized program for enhancing teaching competencies of S university.
